An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support to a 5th-grade student in an intermediate school setting. This contract role involves working closely with a student who is new to the building and may exhibit aggressive behaviors, making adaptability and compassion essential. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 3rd.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician certification required
- Comfortable and experienced with managing aggressive behaviors in students
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Skilled in implementing and documenting behavior intervention plans
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, staff, and families
- Flexibility and patience when supporting students transitioning into new environments
Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 behavioral support that aligns with the student’s individual needs and daily schedule
- Closely monitor, document, and report all behavioral incidents and progress throughout the school day
- Offer academic and instructional support in accordance with the classroom curriculum
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and related service providers
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment for the student and those around them
