Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to support student growth and success during the 2026-2027 school year, with potential for Extended School Year (ESY) involvement! Located just about an hour southeast of Columbia, SC, this part-time contract role offers meaningful, one-on-one engagement, working an estimated 15 hours per week. You’ll make a direct impact by providing specialized behavioral support in an educational setting and possibly in-home environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Prior experience applying hands-on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy techniques strongly preferred
- Comfortable conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Confident in working with students on coping strategies and de-escalation methods
- Experience supporting students with varying behavioral needs in school settings
- Willingness to provide in-home services is a plus, though not required
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one ABA services to students, focusing on skill-building, coping techniques, and de-escalation practices
- Conduct and contribute to FBAs and BIPs under supervision and direction of the clinical team
- Consistently monitor and document student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with educational staff and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
- For ESY, provide dedicated support for one student, both in school and potentially in-home (optional)
- Maintain a positive, patient, and compassionate approach with students
