A K-12 school located in Piedmont, AL is seeking a full-time behavioral specialist for a semester-long contract to support a newly established behavior classroom designed to serve students similarly to an occupational therapy room. This role offers an opportunity to work in a focused setting where students come to the specialist throughout the day for behavioral support and interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral support to students within the specialized classroom.
- Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision (for RBTs).
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure cohesive behavioral intervention.
- Maintain detailed documentation and participate in supervisory meetings.
Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.
- Ability to work full-time, 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
- For RBT candidates, supervision will be provided in accordance with grant requirements.

- Piedmont, Alabama.
