Take on a meaningful opportunity supporting student growth as a 1:1 aide for a 9th-grade learner with autism. Based near Piqua, OH, this contract role is perfect for a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician—or someone with previous RBT experience—passionate about making a difference in a classroom setting.

You’ll work one-on-one with a student who uses PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), so prior training or familiarity with PECS is a significant advantage. Active RBT certification is not mandatory—candidates with previously held or even inactive/expired RBT credentials are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, even if license is expired or inactive
  • Prior experience supporting students with autism
  • Proficiency or familiarity with PECS highly valued
  • Ability to be consistently available for a 7:00 am start time (full-time, 7:00 am–3:00 pm schedule)
  • Strong communication, patience, and dedication to student progress

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, individualized behavioral and academic support to a 9th-grade student in a school setting
  • Implement PECS and other visual communication strategies
  • Assist in promoting social, emotional, and academic development according to IEP requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the student’s success throughout the school day
  • Participate in ongoing training and feedback sessions as needed
