Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in the greater Portland, ME area. In this dynamic school-based role, you’ll help empower children and adolescents to reach their full potential through evidence-based behavioral interventions and compassionate care.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Previous experience supporting children or young adults in school or clinical settings preferred
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans under supervision of BCBA
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Adaptability and patience working within educational environments
- Must pass necessary background checks and meet state/local compliance requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers, school staff, and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement individualized behavioral support plans
- Collect and document accurate data on student behavior and intervention outcomes
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as directed
- Support the development of students’ social, academic, and life skills through positive reinforcement and structured activities
- Maintain confidential records and ensure a safe, respectful environment
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and professional development
