Registered Behavior Technician in Providence, RI

This contracted opportunity is designed for passionate RBTs prepared to support students, primarily in ASD classrooms, assigned to 1:1 roles. We’re currently hiring for immediate Extended School Year (ESY) and Continuation Year Services (CYS) positions, as well as preparing for placements in the Next School Year (NSY).

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
• Previous experience working in school environments and with students diagnosed with ASD is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with students, teachers, and families.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varied classroom needs.
• Demonstrated professionalism and dependability in educational settings.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized behavioral support and implement intervention plans tailored to students on the autism spectrum.
• Work one-on-one with assigned students, fostering skill development and maximizing classroom participation.
• Document daily progress and behaviors in accordance with school and RBT standards.
• Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to ensure a positive, communicative approach.
• Support ESY programming during summer (Monday-Thursday, 8am–12pm), with a contracted schedule of 35 hours per week; schedule increases to 40 hours per week in the fall.
• Please note, BCBA supervision will begin in the fall, and placement start dates may adjust accordingly.
