This contract opportunity is located near Providence, RI and is ideal for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) enthusiastic about making a positive impact in both Extended School Year (ESY) and upcoming New School Year (NSY) programs.
You'll join a collaborative environment focused on consistent, individualized support—every student in the ASD classroom is assigned their own RBT. Enjoy a balanced schedule: ESY is structured as a four-day week from 8am to 12pm, while the upcoming fall schedule increases to full-time hours. This position offers the flexibility of valuable summer employment as well as the potential to extend into the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience supporting students with ASD in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability and commitment to maintaining a positive, student-focused environment
- Ability to work independently, especially over the summer when BCBA support is paused
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support to assigned students within ASD classrooms
- Implement behavior intervention plans consistently, tracking progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with special education staff and teachers to promote student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions and student progress
- Participate in training, team meetings, and professional development as assigned
