Make a meaningful impact as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) classrooms. Highly valued for expertise and compassion, RBTs are assigned to work 1:1 with students, providing crucial support throughout the school year, during Extended School Year (ESY) programs, and as preparations are made for the new school year (NSY).

This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, with ESY hours set at 8am–12pm, four days a week. In the fall, there is an opportunity to transition to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Summer work is available, allowing for continuity and deeper engagement with students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience working in schools or with children/adolescents with ASD is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized behavioral interventions and data collection
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, supportive approach
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively both independently and within a team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavior support for students within ASD classrooms
  • Implement individualized intervention plans and collect data on student progress
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with classroom teams to address student needs and reinforce positive behaviors
  • Prepare for upcoming school terms and assist with transitions between academic sessions

There will be a temporary period with no BCBA support until the fall, so there may be a brief hold on placement at the start.
