Experience a rewarding opportunity by supporting the growth and development of a young learner as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract assignment involves working 1:1 with a preschool student with autism and communication needs in an integrated classroom designed to foster inclusion and engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team, including a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals, to create a nurturing environment where every achievement is celebrated.

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
  • Experience supporting children with autism and communication challenges preferred
  • Skilled in implementing ABA strategies in early childhood settings
  • Able to demonstrate patience, flexibility, and creativity when working with energetic, short attention-span learners
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized behavioral and learning support to a preschool student within a classroom of 8 children
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans under the guidance of certified professionals
  • Use evidence-based strategies to support learning, social interaction, and communication skills
  • Track student progress, behaviors, and interventions through detailed daily documentation
  • Engage with the classroom team to adapt strategies and ensure consistent, cohesive support
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and independence

This position offers a consistent daytime schedule, with full-time hours from 9:15am to 3:30pm preferred. Part-time availability is also possible, with a 9:00am to 12:00pm schedule.
