Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), working closely with a first-grade student in a general education setting. This engaging position, available near Sacramento, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by delivering one-on-one support for a student with intense behaviors. You will collaborate directly with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), addressing attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors in a supportive, team-oriented environment with a dedicated paraprofessional.

This role runs from ASAP through June 5, 2026, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, recognizing your experience and expertise.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification required
  • Experience providing one-on-one behavioral support in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with collaborating alongside BCBAs and paraprofessionals to implement BIPs
  • Strong skills managing and redirecting intense behaviors, including attention-seeking and avoidance
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with young learners
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized behavioral interventions in a general education classroom
  • Coordinate regularly with the BCBA to track progress and tailor strategies
  • Maintain data on student behavior and responses for ongoing evaluation and plan updates
  • Collaborate with the assigned paraprofessional and classroom staff to ensure consistency
  • Model positive behavioral supports and de-escalation techniques as needed
