Take your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to make a tangible impact in a supportive school environment near Sacramento, California. This contract opportunity runs from now through early June 2026, offering the unique chance to work closely with one student—a 1st grade male in a general education setting—who presents with intensive behaviors requiring individualized support.

In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a dedicated paraprofessional to implement a carefully designed Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). Your skillset will be instrumental in addressing attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors, fostering functional skills, and helping your student succeed both academically and socially.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Comfort managing intense behaviors in young children
  • Solid understanding of ABA principles and data collection
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and patience in challenging situations
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one direct behavior support (35 hours per week)
  • Collaborate with a BCBA and paraprofessional to execute BIP strategies
  • Provide consistent positive reinforcement and data-driven interventions
  • Document progress and behavioral data accurately
  • Support the student in accessing the general education curriculum and routines

This position offers compensation of $30–$45 per hour.
