Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Sacramento, California

Make a difference in a student’s educational journey while developing your own skills as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This rewarding contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a first-grade student in a general education setting, actively collaborating with a dedicated team to create a positive learning experience. Based in the area near Sacramento, you’ll join forces with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a paraprofessional to deliver one-on-one support, addressing intense behaviors and encouraging positive growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Current RBT certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school environment
• Strong knowledge of behavior intervention plans (BIP) implementation
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized behavioral support to a first-grade student in a general education classroom
• Collaborate daily with the BCBA and assigned paraprofessional to implement tailored interventions
• Promptly respond to attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors, following established BIPs
• Collect relevant data and participate in ongoing team meetings to discuss progress and adjust strategies
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that helps the student succeed academically and socially
