Join an educational team in Woodland, CA as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) specializing in supporting a first-grade student with intense behavioral needs within a general education setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) facilitating positive learning outcomes for the student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one behavioral support to a first-grade male student exhibiting intense behaviors, including attention-seeking and avoidance.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to implement and monitor the individualized BIP effectively.
  • Work alongside a paraprofessional to ensure consistency and support in behavior management throughout the school day.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of behavioral interventions and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies and adjustments to the behavior plan.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and support staff.
  • Excellent communication and observational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with students with behavioral challenges.
