Make a significant impact this school year supporting elementary students as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract opportunity is located near Salinas, CA, and runs for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy a standard school day schedule (35-40 hours per week), following the district’s bell times, with multiple caseload options available. Most assignments involve working in 1:1 or 2:1 settings with students in elementary grades who have diverse support needs. Hourly rates range from $30-$34 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • At least one year of school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience
  • Active or inactive Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (supervision by a BCBA is provided)
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation training
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities
  • Reliable transportation to and from school sites

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct ABA interventions to students as outlined in their behavior plans
  • Foster positive student relationships and promote behavioral growth
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and supervising BCBA
  • Participate in training and professional development for ongoing skills enhancement
  • Document session notes and communicate progress to the educational team
