This opportunity is for two Registered Behavior Technicians to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in San Jose, CA. These full-time contract positions will extend through the current 25/26 school year, with potential continuation into the 26/27 school year. The roles focus on providing dedicated behavioral support to students with significant externalizing behaviors, fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver intensive, individualized behavioral interventions to high-needs students during part-day sessions (2-3 hours)
- Provide additional behavioral support throughout the school day as needed in classroom or general school settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and administrators to implement behavior plans
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies under supervision as necessary
- Maintain a supportive and safe atmosphere conducive to student growth and learning
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Proven experience working with high-needs students exhibiting significant externalizing behaviors
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting student needs during the school day
Location and Schedule:
- San Jose, CA
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Approximately 6 to 6.5 hours per day, depending on assignment
