Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Substitute Behavior Aide/Paraprofessional for the full 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity focuses on serving kindergarten and elementary students in a one-on-one or group setting, stepping in as needed based on your chosen availability. You’ll work hands-on with students diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, and related behavioral needs. Whether covering 1:1 interventions or providing group support, your expertise will help ensure every student’s safety and success. The ideal candidate will bring strong pediatric behavioral experience, a proactive approach, and reliability both in communication and transportation. Comfort with providing toileting assistance and managing elopement behaviors is required.

Qualifications:

  • RBT certification or paraprofessional experience, ideally in a school setting
  • Experience with pediatric behavioral interventions
  • Flexible, responsive, and comfortable with on-call scheduling
  • Able to build rapport with children and support their progress
  • Reliable transportation and communication
  • Ability to ensure student safety and dignity at all times

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one behavioral support to assigned students
  • Step into group caseloads as directed
  • Implement targeted interventions guided by student plans
  • Assist with daily activities, including toileting, as needed
  • Help limit elopement and manage challenging behaviors
  • Maintain open, proactive communication with school staff
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and student needs
