Registered Behavior Technician in Sidney, OH

Support a 9th grade student by providing dedicated 1:1 assistance in a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract position is perfect for someone with a background as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), even if your license is currently expired or inactive. Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and familiarity with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) are especially valuable, as you’ll help facilitate communication and promote growth for a bright, engaging young learner.

Schedule runs from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so reliability and punctuality are a must to ensure continuity and support for the student.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (active or inactive license accepted)
• Skilled in working with students with autism spectrum disorder
• Prior training or hands-on use of PECS communication methods highly advantageous
• Ability to establish trust, set routines, and encourage engagement with learning activities
• Dependable for early morning start (7:00 AM sharp)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for working alongside teachers and therapists

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support as a 1:1 aide for a high school student throughout the school day
• Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of school staff and specialists
• Assist with social, academic, and life skills development in alignment with student’s goals
• Use PECS and other communication tools to foster student’s self-expression
• Track progress, document observations, and contribute to a positive classroom environment
