Registered Behavior Technician in Simpsonville, SC

Shape positive change supporting elementary learners as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) on a contract, part-time basis. This opportunity, situated near Simpsonville, SC, focuses on implementing effective strategies with a male student under the guidance of a BCBA. The initial schedule is 8:45–10:15 AM, with strong potential for additional hours as needs grow.

You’ll deliver specialized support working in a 2:1 setting, helping students navigate work avoidance behaviors. Your calm approach and skilled verbal redirections will be key in de-escalating aggression and fostering a safe, encouraging environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to implement behavior intervention plans designed by a BCBA
• Confidence handling challenging behaviors, including work avoidance and escalation
• Strong communication skills to work closely with the supervising BCBA, educators, and families
• Willingness to provide two professional references plus a reference from your supervising BCBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support to elementary-age students as outlined in individualized education and behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based strategies to manage challenging behaviors and engage students in learning
• Track student progress, documenting observation and intervention results accurately
• Maintain professionalism and composure while addressing verbal and aggressive behaviors
• Collaborate with BCBA and school team to adjust strategies as student needs evolve
