Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent 1:1 behavioral and instructional support to an elementary-aged student throughout the school day
- Implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans using ABA-based methods
- Facilitate daily classroom participation, smooth transitions, and routine activities
- Identify triggers and apply proactive de-escalation strategies to uphold a positive learning environment
- Encourage development of communication, social, and academic skills
- Gather and report data on behavioral and academic progress
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school-based professionals to ensure cohesive support
- Foster safety, structure, and positivity in all student interactions
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification from the BACB (required or preferred)
- Prior experience providing ABA or behavioral support to children
- Familiarity with school-based settings highly valued
- Completion of CPI, Safety-Care, or comparable crisis prevention training strongly preferred
- Strong grasp of positive reinforcement and behavioral intervention strategies
- Effective communication skills and a dependable, patient, and calm demeanor
- Comfortable and confident in individualized 1:1 student settings
