Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Spartanburg, South Carolina

Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students as a Registered Behavior Technician on a contract basis. This position offers a focused, part-time schedule from 8:45 to 10:15 each weekday, with a strong potential for more hours as needs evolve. You’ll work closely in a 2:1 setting, providing critical assistance and implementing behavior interventions for a young male student requiring additional behavioral support.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Experience in behavioral intervention within school settings, preferably at the elementary level
• Knowledge in handling work avoidance behaviors, providing verbal redirections, and managing escalation, including aggression when necessary
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and supervisors
• Capability to furnish two professional references, with at least one being a BCBA reference

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct behavioral therapy and support in accordance with individualized education and behavior plans
• Track and document student progress and occurrences, sharing relevant information with the supervising BCBA
• Implement strategies for de-escalation, positive reinforcement, and skill building
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators to support continuity of care
• Maintain a supportive, safe, and structured environment for student engagement and learning
