Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing vital behavioral support in a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract opportunity (37.5 hours per week, onsite) runs throughout the academic year, from August 6, 2026, to May 27, 2027. Bring your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Specialist to support staff and students in promoting positive behavior and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive training to staff on effective behavioral intervention strategies across general and special education settings.
  • Collaborate on designing instruction and curriculum that cultivate socially acceptable behavior and support student success.
  • Guide the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).
  • Work with IEP teams to help craft and put into practice individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP objectives.
  • Observe student behavior in classroom settings, contribute written intervention insights, and monitor ongoing progress.
  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting behavioral data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Participate actively in the Teacher Assistant Team (TAT) process as needed.
  • Encourage parental involvement in special education evaluations when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field OR
  • Bachelor’s in education/special education with at least five years of experience with students facing behavioral and emotional challenges OR a Master’s in education/special education with three years of such experience.
  • Current training or coursework in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS or PBS) required.
  • Experience working with children having behavioral and emotional disabilities.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills highly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and keep valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Background working with linguistically and culturally diverse populations is a plus.
