A school district near Torrance, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will work 1:1 with a student exhibiting significant behavioral challenges. This full-time contract position runs from April 13, 2026, to June 11, 2026, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a young person's life while collaborating with a supportive educational team. Male candidates are strongly preferred for this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience working in schools or education settings highly valued
  • Demonstrated success in managing and supporting students with serious behavioral issues, preferably in a 1:1 capacity
  • Comfortable following established behavior intervention plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to fulfilling the assignment duration
  • Male candidates preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to a student as outlined in their individualized plan
  • Collect and document data on student behavior and progress daily
  • Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging actions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, behavior analysts, and other support staff
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training as needed
