A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician to make a meaningful impact working one-on-one with a first-grade student in a general education setting. This contract role will allow you to collaborate closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help support positive behavioral outcomes. The position is located in the Woodland, CA area and runs from now through June 5, 2026. You’ll partner with a dedicated paraprofessional and focus on developing effective behavioral strategies for the student, who demonstrates intense behaviors related to attention-seeking and avoidance.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification is required
- Previous experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors, preferably in a school or similar setting
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and strategies
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and family members
- Strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with a first-grade student in a general education classroom, providing support and guidance in alignment with the individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
- Implement evidence-based interventions and data collection methods as directed by the supervising BCBA
- Document daily interactions, progress, and behavioral data to inform ongoing treatment planning
- Collaborate with a paraprofessional and other school staff to maintain a supportive and structured environment
- Participate in team meetings and support ongoing assessment of behavioral goals
