Step into a meaningful role supporting a middle school student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this contract position, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and behavioral support staff, using your expertise to foster skill development, appropriate communication, and confidence. Your ability to implement behavior intervention plans, collect detailed behavioral data, and apply de-escalation techniques will be essential to the student's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous 1:1 behavioral and educational support throughout the school day
  • Consistently implement established ABA-based behavior intervention plans
  • Guide the student in navigating peer relationships and managing avoidance behaviors
  • Proactively recognize and address behavioral triggers to reduce escalation
  • Apply evidence-based de-escalation strategies when needed
  • Accurately collect and document behavioral and skill acquisition data
  • Maintain open communication with teachers and the wider support team
  • Promote independence, positive social skills, and self-advocacy
  • Approach every situation with patience, empathy, and professionalism

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RBT registration through the BACB (required)
  • Current CPI certification (required)
  • Experience supporting students with ASD or providing behavior intervention in schools (strongly preferred)
  • Solid foundation in ABA principles and data collection
  • Skillful at identifying behavioral triggers and applying practical responses
  • Excellent team collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Consistency, patience, and commitment to student-centered support

This opportunity features a weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–2:45 PM, 32.5 hours per week) and competitive compensation ranging from $24.00 to $33.00 per hour.
