Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Wapakoneta, Ohio

Step into a dynamic school-based setting as a 1:1 aide, supporting a 9th-grade student with autism in a fulfilling full-time contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or a candidate with equivalent experience, even if your RBT certification is currently expired or inactive. If you have prior training in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), your expertise will be highly valued, as the student utilizes PECS as their primary means of communication.

Enjoy the consistency of a structured weekday schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, where your early morning availability will be essential in providing continuous care and academic support throughout the school day. Qualifications & Skills:

• RBT credential (active or inactive) or equivalent behavioral technician experience.
• Prior work with students with autism or similar special needs in an educational setting.
• PECS training highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with the educational team.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with an early 7:00 AM start time.
• Empathy, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one support for a 9th-grade student during the full school day.
• Facilitate the use of PECS for communication and help reinforce positive behaviors.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to implement IEP strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and daily activities.
