Registered Behavior Technician in Warwick, RI

Are you a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings? You'll work closely with students in ASD classrooms, where each student is paired 1:1 with an RBT. This assignment supports a range of schedules, including CYS (current year services), ESY (extended school year), and preparation for the NSY (next school year), providing a unique blend of continuity and variety.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• Prior experience working with children or in school-based settings preferred
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs
• Motivation to work independently, especially during periods with limited BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) support

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy and behavior interventions for students in ASD classrooms
• Implement individualized behavior support plans with consistency and empathy
• Monitor student progress and collect data on targeted behaviors
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to foster a positive environment
• Prepare for transition into the academic year, adapting to evolving team support and BCBA guidance starting in the fall

Position Details & Perks:

• Flexible contract schedule: 35 hours per week during the school year, shifting to 4 days/week (8am-12pm) during ESY, and potential expansion to 40 hours per week in the fall
