The student you’ll work closely with has autism, unique communication needs, a short attention span, and boundless energy—making your role essential for their growth and success.
You’ll collaborate daily with a dedicated special education teacher and two paraprofessionals in a classroom of eight students, providing behavioral and communication support. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about early intervention, behavior therapy, and inclusive education environments.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required
- Previous experience supporting children with autism or similar needs preferred
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans and apply ABA principles
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Patience, flexibility, and the stamina to work with energetic young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct 1:1 applied behavior analysis services to a preschool learner
- Assist the student in developing communication and social skills
- Collect and accurately document data on targeted behaviors and progress
- Collaborate with classroom staff and the special education team to ensure consistent support
- Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development as needed
