Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | West Sacramento, California

This contract opportunity allows you to work one-on-one with a bright 1st-grade student in a general education setting, building meaningful connections and applying your expertise in behavior support.

Your role is vital: you'll work closely with a BCBA to implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) designed to address attention-seeking and avoidance challenges. With a paraprofessional assigned to assist, you'll have the chance to create positive behavioral change while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RBT certification required
• Experience working in school settings (preferred)
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for intense behaviors
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Commitment through the contract’s end date (ASAP–6/5/26)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted behavior interventions under BCBA guidance
• Foster a supportive and structured environment for the student
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of daily interactions
• Assist in modifying and adapting strategies to maximize student success
• Work with a paraprofessional to ensure cohesive implementation of the BIP
