Registered Behavior Technician in West Sacramento, CA

Make a genuine impact in a school setting as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this contract position, you’ll work one-on-one with a 1st grade student in a general education classroom, supporting him through intense behavioral challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a dedicated paraprofessional, carrying out evidence-based interventions and helping develop meaningful change.

Your workdays will be based in Woodland, CA, with a commitment of 35 hours per week. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 5, 2026, providing you with the chance to grow your skills and positively shape a young student’s educational journey.

Pay for this role ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Expertise in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Strong collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary teams, especially BCBA professionals
• Patience, resilience, and excellent communication abilities
• Experience addressing attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors preferred

Responsiblities include:

• Providing consistent one-on-one behavioral support for a first-grade student with intense needs
• Carrying out prescribed BIP strategies in coordination with the BCBA and para
• Collecting and recording behavioral data accurately
• Communicating effectively with school staff and student’s support team
• Offering proactive feedback to adjust techniques for student growth
