Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Wilmington, Delaware

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support an elementary autism program on a full-time contract basis. This role involves working directly with elementary-aged students in a dynamic educational environment, making a meaningful impact each day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
• Active Delaware PARA Permit (both are required)
• Strongly preferred: school-based experience, especially supporting elementary-aged students
• Demonstrated experience with students requiring physical intervention strategies
• Skilled in behavioral and instructional data collection within a classroom
• Must be reliable with the ability to work the full scheduled shift (8:45 AM – 4:15 PM, Monday–Friday)
• Comfortable and willing to assist with bathroom duties, including toileting, diapering, and hygiene assistance
• Flexible team player, open to classroom assignment changes based on program needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated behavioral support for students in an autism classroom setting
• Implement physical intervention strategies when deemed appropriate and safe
• Accurately collect and document behavioral and instructional data to inform individualized plans
• Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to ensure a supportive, inclusive environment
• Participate in essential personal care routines, including bathroom and hygiene support
• Adapt to evolving classroom assignments and provide support wherever it’s needed
