Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students with special needs as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced Paraprofessional. This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 7, 2026, through May 25, 2027, providing vital 1:1 support to a first-grade student. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated district Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and be entrusted to make a meaningful impact on a young learner's growth and inclusion.
Required Skills & Experience:
- RBT certification highly preferred, but candidates with strong backgrounds in special needs and behavioral support are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with children, particularly those who have developmental or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and individualized education program (IEP) implementation
- Crisis Intervention training is a significant asset for this role
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students and school personnel
- Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional boundaries
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent 1:1 support for a first-grade student during school hours
- Assist with implementation of behavior intervention strategies under supervision of the BCBA
- Collect data and track progress toward behavioral and academic goals
- Support development of social, communication, and academic skills in a classroom setting
- Employ de-escalation techniques and respectful crisis intervention methods as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
This contract role offers 35 hours per week and provides the chance to work onsite during regular school hours, allowing direct interaction with students and staff.
