Registered Behavior Technician in Wilsonville, AL

Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students by providing critical behavioral and classroom assistance throughout the school year. This full-time, onsite contract begins in August and runs through late May, making it ideal for those seeking an engaging, structured position in an educational setting. Work alongside a dedicated district Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as you deliver 1:1 support to a third-grade student and assist with classroom management.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred, but candidates with substantial experience working with children with special needs and behavioral intervention are encouraged to apply
• Background as a paraprofessional or similar in a school or educational environment is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles a plus
• Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with teaching and support staff
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Commitment to supporting students’ academic and social growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized behavioral support to a 3rd-grade student in all classroom activities
• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the district BCBA
• Assist teachers with daily classroom routines, transitions, and group instruction
• Monitor, document, and report student progress and behaviors
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the student’s growth and participation
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, administration, and the BCBA to adjust strategies as needed

This position offers the stability of a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (7:45am–3:15pm, 35 hours per week), allowing you to make a measurable difference each day.
