Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification highly desirable
- Prior experience working with students who have Autism or ADHD is beneficial
- Strong understanding of behavioral interventions and strategies
- Excellent observational, communication, and documentation skills
- Passion for helping students reach their potential in a supportive one-on-one environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to 1st grade students within an extended school year program
- Utilize evidence-based practices and collaborate closely with BCBAs and supporting staff
- Develop and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans
- Monitor student progress, adjusting approaches to meet unique learning needs
- Foster positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and instructional team members
- Utilize proactive classroom management techniques to address behavioral challenges
- Maintain compliance with all required documentation and program standards
