This full-time, 40-hour-per-week opportunity offers the rewarding experience of working one-on-one with 1st grade students who have behavioral needs. You’ll play an essential role in nurturing young learners and helping them reach their full potential within a supportive educational environment.
You'll be supported by on-site administration and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). This role is especially suited to those with a passion for supporting children with Autism and ADHD—previous experience in these areas is highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with 1st grade or elementary students
- Background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), BCBA, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a plus
- Comfortable providing one-on-one instruction to students with behavioral needs
- Prior experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to individual student needs in a dynamic setting
- Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and success for every student
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral interventions for a 1st grade student
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs, RBTs, and other special education staff
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collect data on student progress
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to address behavioral challenges
- Work alongside supportive administration to ensure student and staff well-being
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
