Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification highly desirable
  • Prior experience working with students who have Autism or ADHD is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of behavioral interventions and strategies
  • Excellent observational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Passion for helping students reach their potential in a supportive one-on-one environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to 1st grade students within an extended school year program
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and collaborate closely with BCBAs and supporting staff
  • Develop and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting approaches to meet unique learning needs
  • Foster positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and instructional team members
  • Utilize proactive classroom management techniques to address behavioral challenges
  • Maintain compliance with all required documentation and program standards
