This contract position provides the chance to work in a school setting close to Woodland, CA, with a thoughtfully structured caseload. You’ll serve as a key support for a general education student exhibiting intense behaviors. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), providing direct support targeting attention-seeking and avoidance behaviors. A dedicated paraprofessional will partner with you throughout the assignment, ensuring a team-based approach.
Your qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Experience supporting children with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges in an educational, clinical, or home-based setting
- Familiarity with Behavior Intervention Plans and data collection
- Ability to work collaboratively with BCBAs, educators, and support staff
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one behavior intervention for a first-grade student in a general education classroom
- Support the execution of the student’s BIP under the direction and supervision of a BCBA
- Collect and record data on student behavior and progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with the BCBA, teacher, paraprofessional, and family
- Participate in team meetings and training as required
This full-time, 35-hour-per-week contract runs from ASAP through June 5, 2026. Compensation ranges from $30 to $45 an hour, commensurate with experience.
