Registered Behavior Technician in Woodland, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a dynamic elementary student as a Registered Behavior Technician. Based near Woodland, CA, this position allows you to make a meaningful impact by working closely with a 1st grade student in the general education setting. The assignment starts ASAP and runs through early June 2026, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek where your expertise truly matters.

You’ll collaborate with a BCBA to effectively implement a Behavior Intervention Plan, providing one-on-one guidance to a student who presents with intense behaviors, including attention-seeking and avoidance. There is also a dedicated paraprofessional assigned, ensuring you have added support as you work toward keeping the student engaged and progressing. Compassion, creativity, and teamwork are highly valued in this role.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Previous experience in school settings or with children exhibiting intense behaviors preferred
• Ability to implement and adapt Behavior Intervention Plans in collaboration with a BCBA
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering student growth

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, one-on-one behavioral support to a 1st grade male student
• Collaborate closely with the BCBA and paraeducator assigned to the student
• Record data to measure progress toward behavioral goals
• Utilize evidence-based strategies for managing attention-seeking and avoidant behaviors
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
