Dyslexia Special Education Reading Specialist - Duncanville, Texas

Two contract positions are available for professionals with specialized skills in reading intervention and dyslexia therapy, working across both an elementary and a high school campus. What you bring:

• Valid General Teaching Endorsement.
• At least one of the following: Reading Endorsement, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), or Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP).
• Proven experience as a Reading Specialist and/or background in dyslexia interventions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators and families.
• Passion for evidence-based instruction and commitment to equity in literacy.
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learner needs.

What you’ll do:

• Provide targeted dyslexia and reading interventions to students at both an elementary and high school campus.
• Assess student reading abilities, develop individualized instructional plans, and track progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, support teams, and families to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in campus meetings, professional learning opportunities, and IEP/504 planning as needed.
