Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License, with the appropriate endorsements.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and delivering differentiated instruction.
- Exceptional communication abilities—both verbal and written.
- Experience fostering literacy in early elementary environments is strongly valued.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective reading instruction in a K-2 library media setting.
- Evaluate student reading levels and provide targeted interventions to nurture founding literacy skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support core curriculum and integrate media resources effectively.
- Plan, implement, and assess individualized and group reading activities.
- Curate library and digital resources appropriate for early learners’ needs.
- Maintain accurate records to monitor student progress and instructional outcomes.
- Create an inclusive, supportive environment that motivates students to become enthusiastic readers.
