This full-time, onsite contract position seeks a dedicated Reading Specialist to provide transformative instruction to a diverse K-8 caseload. With two openings available, this role runs 35 hours per week and continues through June 10, 2027, offering the stability to build meaningful connections with students and staff.

Key qualities for success include:

• Valid Reading Specialist certification
• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification or licensure
• Demonstrated mastery of literacy instruction and related content
• Experience creating effective lesson plans that align with current state and district standards, emphasizing formative assessment and differentiated instruction
• Background in school-based settings, especially urban environments
• Strong classroom and behavioral management capabilities
• Comfortable adapting to new district environments and locations
• Reliable transportation for consistent onsite presence
• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the selection process

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Delivering targeted literacy interventions and whole-class instruction for K-8 students
• Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to varied learning needs
• Monitoring student progress and using data to inform instructional decisions
