Qualifications & Credentials:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Certified School Nurse credential or a Master’s degree in School Nursing required
- Demonstrated proficiency in trach care, g-tube management, and ventilator support
- Experience conducting skills assessments for LVNs or similar healthcare staff
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Adaptable, collaborative approach within school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough skills assessments and observations for LVNs, focusing on trach, g-tube, and ventilator care
- Review and verify compliance with health and safety protocols
- Offer mentorship, training, and feedback to LVNs to promote ongoing competency
- Maintain accurate records and clear communication with educational and healthcare teams
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff regarding student healthcare practices
- Ensure immediate and appropriate responses to medical situations in school settings
