Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive health services and first aid to students and staff in accordance with school policies
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students with chronic conditions, medical plans, and medication administration
• Conduct health screenings, illness assessments, and provide health education tailored to age-appropriate needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided and ongoing student needs
• Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and participate in development of health-related protocols in the school environment
• Offer guidance and training to staff on relevant health concerns and procedures

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Active RN license (unencumbered) in the state of Virginia or eligibility for licensure
• Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing settings preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse populations and varying school needs
• CPR/BLS certification required
