This contract position seeks a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in school nursing to provide essential catheterization services and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of a student during the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting preferred.
• Proficiency in catheterization procedures, with a commitment to maintaining privacy and dignity for the student.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with students, instructional staff, and school administration.
• Reliable, punctual, and compassionate approach to care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver catheterization services to a high school student at 12:45pm daily, ensuring proper technique and adherence to medical best practices.
• Monitor student health for changes or concerns during assigned hours and respond appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of medical care provided and communicate any updates to necessary school personnel or parents as directed.
• Collaborate with an on-site instructional aid, who handles academic support, allowing you to focus on medical needs.
• Adhere to all school policies regarding confidentiality, health, and safety practices.

Role Details:

• Contract position, five days per week.
• Scheduled hours: 9:00am – 1:10pm, Monday through Friday, coinciding with the student’s school day.
• Work within a supportive educational environment committed to student success and wellness.
