Schools in the Allentown, PA area are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) to join their dedicated teams for both substitute nurse coverage and field trip/camp nurse responsibilities.
Utilize your clinical expertise to help create a safe, healthy learning environment for all students. As a valued resource on campus, you will address a variety of health needs and assist students during daily activities, school events, and off-site excursions.
Desired skills and background:
- Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN/LVN license in good standing
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational abilities
- Adaptable and able to provide compassionate care in changing environments
- Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care within the school environment
- Maintain accurate health records and administer medications as prescribed
- Support students with chronic health concerns or special medical needs
- Serve as a substitute nurse or accompany students as a nurse on field trips and at camp activities
- Promote wellness practices and participate in health screenings when assigned
- Respond quickly and effectively to urgent medical issues
