School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Allentown, Pennsylvania

Schools in the Allentown, PA area are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) to join their dedicated teams for both substitute nurse coverage and field trip/camp nurse responsibilities.

Utilize your clinical expertise to help create a safe, healthy learning environment for all students. As a valued resource on campus, you will address a variety of health needs and assist students during daily activities, school events, and off-site excursions.

Desired skills and background:

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN/LVN license in good standing
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational abilities
• Adaptable and able to provide compassionate care in changing environments
• Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families

Core responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care within the school environment
• Maintain accurate health records and administer medications as prescribed
• Support students with chronic health concerns or special medical needs
• Serve as a substitute nurse or accompany students as a nurse on field trips and at camp activities
• Promote wellness practices and participate in health screenings when assigned
• Respond quickly and effectively to urgent medical issues
