Desired Skills and Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric nursing setting preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of confidentiality principles and state health regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver general nursing care to middle school students, including treatment of illness and minor injuries
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain health documentation in accordance with school policies
• Provide health education and guidance to students, parents, and teachers as needed
• Monitor students with chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, or allergies, ensuring proper care and emergency preparedness
• Support the enforcement of health and safety policies within the school
• Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and administrators to address student health concerns
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings and assist with development of individualized healthcare plans
