High School Certified School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Anderson, South Carolina

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to support high school students in a classroom setting from February 19th through May 21st. This role is ideal for a caring, licensed RN who enjoys working with youth and collaborating with educators within a school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license required
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Certification in school nursing highly desirable
• G-tube and ventilator experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Comfortable working with high school students with varying needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily health support as a classroom nurse for two students—one with wheelchair use, one ambulatory
• Administer and monitor g-tube feedings, medications, and other specialized nursing tasks as required
• Monitor students with ventilator needs, responding to emergencies and providing routine respiratory care
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to ensure students’ health plans are implemented appropriately
• Maintain accurate, detailed health records and follow all school health policies
• Educate staff and students on best health and safety practices as needed
• Serve as a resource and advocate for student health within the classroom
