Certified High School Registered Nurse School Setting - Anderson, SC

Step into a meaningful contract position supporting a high school student as a 1:1 nurse. This role focuses on delivering expert care to a paralyzed yet cognitively high-functioning student, ensuring safety, participation, and comfort throughout the school day. The position is 30 hours per week, with Wednesday off each week as the student does not attend school on that day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license with relevant certification
• Experience with ventilator care and related equipment
• Comfortable working independently in a 1:1 setting
• Previous experience in school settings or with adolescent populations preferred
• Ability to support safe bus transport to and from school
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with caregivers and school personnel

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including ventilator management, during the school day and on the bus
• Monitor and document vital signs and overall health, responding to needs promptly
• Assist with mobility and health-related routines as needed
• Foster a supportive, respectful environment to encourage the student’s academic and social success
• Maintain clear communication with family, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care
