Licensed 1:1 Registered Nurse School Setting - Anderson, SC

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a high school student as a 1:1 RN or LPN with vent experience. This role near Anderson, SC, is ideal for a caring, skilled nurse seeking meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Work closely with a paralyzed but cognitively high-functioning student, ensuring safety, health needs, and a positive environment throughout the school day and during daily bus rides. You’ll contribute to this student’s educational journey and independence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in South Carolina
• Ventilator care experience required (if applying as LPN)
• Certification as a school nurse preferred, but not mandatory
• Prior experience with 1:1 care (especially in school settings) highly valued
• Strong commitment to student advocacy and well-being
• Professional, empathetic, and reliable with the ability to work independently
• Able to accompany the student via school bus to and from high school
• High degree of communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Attend to the student’s medical and personal care throughout the school day
• Provide knowledgeable, compassionate support during transportation to and from school via the bus
• Collaborate with school personnel, therapists, and the student’s family to ensure continuity of care
• Monitor and respond to health or safety needs promptly
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation

Position Details:

• 30 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (Wednesdays off)
• Contract role following the school calendar
