1:1 Care Middle School Registered Nurse School Setting - Anderson, SC

This contract position focuses on delivering essential one-on-one care to students in an elementary through high school environment. The classroom features seven children, each with unique needs; all are wheelchair users and range from ages 3 to 15.

Your expertise as a Registered Nurse will be a cornerstone in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space for learning. Working in close partnership with educators and families, you’ll help these students reach their fullest potential while ensuring their well-being throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Prior experience with ventilator-dependent children is required
• Proven ability to provide compassionate 1:1 care
• Familiarity with the needs of students ages 3-15 in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both children and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing care to students, including those utilizing ventilators
• Oversee the health and safety of up to seven wheelchair-bound students within the classroom
• Monitor for changes in condition and respond swiftly and appropriately
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure seamless, holistic care
• Document care provided and vital observations as needed for school and medical records
• Provide education and support to staff regarding medical equipment and care protocols
