Elementary High School School Registered Nurse | Anderson, South Carolina

Make a difference as a dedicated school nurse providing one-on-one care in an educational setting for students ages 3 to 15. This contract opportunity places you in a classroom with a small group of seven students, all wheelchair users, where your expertise and compassion will truly matter. Your clinical knowledge and ventilator experience will be key in creating a safe, supportive school experience for these remarkable children.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and current RN license is required
• Previous experience providing 1:1 care, preferably within school settings
• Proficient with ventilator management and tracheostomy care
• Comfortable supporting students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Strong communication skills to interact with students, educational staff, and families
• A calm, patient, and reassuring presence in the classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver continuous, individualized nursing care to students with complex medical needs
• Oversee ventilator and respiratory equipment, performing necessary interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school personnel to support educational goals while prioritizing student safety
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, documenting all care provided
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that allows each student to participate as fully as possible in classroom activities
• Serve as a health advocate and resource for students and their families
