A skilled Registered Nurse is needed for a contract position providing 1:1 care within a school setting in Anderson, SC. This role supports students aged 3 to 15 across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The nurse will serve as a classroom nurse responsible for managing the healthcare needs of seven students, all of whom are wheelchair-bound and require ventilator support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students aged 3-15 in classroom and school environments.
- Provide 1:1 nursing support to students with significant medical needs, including ventilator management.
- Monitor, assess, and document student health status, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer treatments as prescribed.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license.
- Experience in ventilator care is essential.
- Prior experience working with pediatric patients in educational or clinical settings.
- Ability to manage complex medical needs in a school environment.
