Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current RN licensure
- Previous experience with school-age children or in a school nurse role preferred
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach; ability to work one-on-one with a high school student
- Capable of assisting with mobility needs; familiarity with care for paralyzed individuals a plus
- Flexibility to ride the bus to and from school daily
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 direct nursing care to a cognitively high-functioning high school student with paralysis
- Accompany the student on the school bus daily for safe transportation
- Monitor student’s health status and respond to any individual needs throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate health documentation and communicate effectively with educational staff and parents
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for the student
