Providing healthcare and wellness support in a K-12 school setting, this role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) experienced in school nursing. The position is a contracted assignment for the current school year, based in Andover, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and health education.
  • Manage chronic conditions and acute illnesses, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Promote health and wellness programs within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with a valid state license to practice in Minnesota.
  • Experience in school nursing, preferably in a K-12 educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric and adolescent health issues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
