As a bus riding Registered Nurse, your presence will help ensure a safe, healthy environment for students during morning and afternoon transportation. Enjoy a peaceful midday break before returning to complete your afternoon route responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license in Michigan, in good standing
  • Previous experience as an RN in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Confident with student health management and emergency response during transport
  • Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable—comfortable in a dynamic, student-facing setting
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with bus staff and school administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride with students on the school bus, providing basic health monitoring and immediate care as needed
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies during transport, following established student health protocols
  • Collaborate with bus drivers and school staff to ensure student safety
  • Maintain accurate and concise notes regarding any care provided en route
