School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Apple Valley, California

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available within a K-12 school environment in Apple Valley, CA. This contract role runs for the duration of the school year (NSY), with an ASAP start and an end-of-school-year term, including the possibility of extended summer sessions (ESY) and a strong chance of renewal.

This RN will provide essential onsite nursing support for students, particularly those receiving virtual therapy from contracted providers. The ideal candidate should be credentialed and capable of managing health needs within the classroom setting to support these students effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite nursing care and health support for students during school hours.
• Assist students receiving virtual therapy, ensuring their medical needs are addressed while onsite.
• Collaborate with educational and therapeutic staff to facilitate student well-being and compliance with health plans.
• Monitor and document student health status and maintain appropriate health records.
• Respond promptly to health emergencies or medical concerns that arise during the school day.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, preferably with school health credentialing.
• Experience in school nursing or case management within educational settings.
• Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to the needs of students with various health conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
