Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Current and valid RN licensure in Illinois
  • Prior experience working as a School RN or in pediatric settings is preferred
  • Ability to manage healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
  • Skilled in emergency response and first aid
  • Compassionate communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with electronic health records and documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily and emergency care, medications, and treatments as prescribed
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
  • Serve as a resource for health education, wellness promotion, and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents on student health concerns
  • Maintain accurate health records and reports in compliance with regulations
  • Participate in IEP/504 meetings as a healthcare expert when required
