School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Arlington Heights, Illinois

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois RN, LPN, or LVN license required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred
• Skilled in 1:1 care, especially with younger children
• Familiarity with IEPs, healthcare plans, and emergency protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
• Ability to perform health assessments, administer medications, and manage medical devices as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to a Pre-K student throughout the school day
• Monitor, document, and communicate the student’s health status and progress
• Respond promptly to medical needs or emergencies, ensuring safety at all times
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to support educational participation
• Maintain accurate health records and adhere to school policies and state regulations
