Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ health and success as a CTC Credentialed School Nurse. This full-time, travel-based position offers the opportunity to make a difference for Pre-K learners across multiple sites in the surrounding region. You’ll work in a variety of educational settings—including preschools and rural schools—ensuring all students receive comprehensive health monitoring and care, with your home base near Aromas, CA.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current California RN license and CTC school nurse credential required
- Certificate in audiometry for conducting vision and hearing screenings
- Experience providing health services in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills
- Flexibility to travel between schools within different counties
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver health assessments and manage care plans for Pre-K students at multiple campuses
- Perform mandated screenings for vision and hearing, utilizing your audiometry certification
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and external health providers to coordinate student care
- Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Maintain detailed, confidential health records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Promote a safe, healthy environment and advocate for children’s well-being and access to resources
This contract position follows the full school year calendar (26/27), offering consistent hours (40 hours per week) and the ability to positively impact the lives of young students across several communities.
