Desired Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in pediatric and/or school nursing strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver individualized 1:1 nursing care
  • Knowledge of common childhood and adolescent health concerns
  • Skilled in monitoring and supporting students with chronic or complex health needs
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers
  • Ability to document care and communicate effectively according to school protocols
  • Empathetic, adaptable, with strong organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for assigned students, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day
  • Administer medications, perform health assessments, and monitor ongoing health conditions
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support each student’s individualized plan of care
  • Respond promptly to health emergencies or special needs situations
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each encounter and treatment provided
  • Promote a healthy school environment and educate students on wellness practices
