Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active RN license in Georgia
- Prior pediatric nursing experience, particularly in school or 1:1 care settings
- Familiarity with managing care plans for students in grades 1-5 and 9-10
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families
- Compassion and patience when supporting children and teens
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 care for assigned students during school hours
- Monitor student health status and implement physician-ordered interventions
- Document care activities and maintain updated health records
- Support students in navigating daily academic routines while managing medical needs
- Educate staff and students on health, wellness, and safety
- Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate interventions
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and healthcare providers as needed
